It’s becoming a tradition we all look forward to, and honestly, it’s the highlight of the holiday season for PC gamers. Every year, as Christmas approaches, the Epic Games Store spoils us with a barrage of free games.

If you like keeping your wallet full and your library overflowing, here is exactly what is planned for the 2025 edition.

Epic Games Store Free Games: Grab These Before Thursday

First things first: you have until this Thursday, December 11, to pick up two solid titles without spending a dime.

Currently, The Darkside Detective and The Jackbox Party Pack 4 are up for grabs. Once you claim them, they are yours to keep forever.

The Mystery Game Reveal and The Game Awards

The real festivities kick off this Thursday with the return of the infamous “Mystery Game.”

Right now, nobody knows what it is, but expectations are sky-high. Since the reveal coincides with The Game Awards, I’m betting Epic is going to drop something massive to steal a bit of the spotlight.

Epic Games Store Daily Gifts: 17 Days of Free Games?

If the storefront follows the same pattern as last year (and why fix what isn’t broken?), we are in for a treat starting next week.

We expect the legendary Advent Calendar to launch around December 18, likely offering a new free game every single day until school starts again in January. That could mean up to 17 free games in total.

Personally, I love that they keep the titles secret. It creates a daily ritual during the holidays where we all rush to see what the “gift of the day” is.

Looking back at the caliber of games Epic has thrown at us in the past, the bar is set high:
