Grounded 2 Launch Times Announced – Play On PC, Xbox Series, and Game Pass

Grounded 2 is releasing in early access/game preview on July 29th. Here are the times the game unlocks per region.

One of the most beloved games made headlines when it surprised fans during the last Xbox Games Showcase. Grounded 2 was announced to unsuspecting gamers as Obsidian was able to keep everything under wraps. Having no leaks in this age is almost virtually impossible but no one probably thought there would be too since the studio already has a stacked 2025. But here we are with another pleasant game, continuing the game everyone loved since 2020.

Grounded 2 Console Release Scheduled for September 18

Grounded 2 is officially launching on early access on Steam and under the Game Preview program for Xbox. It will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. So while Xbox One isn’t on the list of supported devices, thanks to xCloud via Game Pass Ultimate, the game can be played on this “older” console.

The title will have full cross-play and with Xbox Play Anywhere, cross-progression is also available.

Grounded 2 follows the same path as the first game with an early access release first, then a full launch when the team feels it’s ready. Looking at the game’s trailer, it already looks far better than when the first game launched. We’ll know for sure when it unlocks on July 29th 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 7PM CEST.

As of now, and for obvious reasons, the game will not launch on Playstation 5 nor Nintendo Switch 2. But like some Xbox-exclusives, it could find its way to these consoles when the full launch happens.
