ARC Raiders Developer Embark Studios Focusing on October Release Date, Confirms No Beta

Swedish developer Embark Studios has stated its focus is on the extraction shooter’s October 30, 2025, release date, and confirmed that there will be no more betas leading up to its launch.

ARC Raiders, the upcoming co-op, sci-fi extraction shooter from Embark Studios, a developer made up of former Battlefield devs, is launching on October 30, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

After two successful tech tests, the developer has confirmed it will not receive another playtest or beta as it focuses on its October release date.

ARC Raiders October Release Date Confirmed

Embark Studios, the developer of The Finals, has confirmed ARC Raiders for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for October 30, 2025, four years after it was announced at The Game Awards 2021.

Preparing for the shooter’s release, the studio said in a Steam post that “Tech Test 2 was the best rehearsal we could get ahead of release this fall,” and that it is using feedback to “hone in” on “the last stretch of development,” which will include post-launch support.

No Beta Planned Before Launch

While betas are a massive part of game development and can drive a lot of new interest to a game, as we’ve seen with the recently successful Battlefield 6 beta, Embark Studios has told expectant fans that they want to “keep expectations in check” and announced they will not be at Gamescom 2025.

In a post on X, the developer says it is “not planning additional public tests before launch,” but the “launch campaign will kick off before you know it.”

What to Expect from ARC Raiders at Launch

ARC Raiders is an online PvPvE extraction shooter set on a desolate Earth, in which the machines of ARC look to destroy every remaining settlement of humanity.

In a tense and hostile landscape, players enlist as Raiders, building a home for themselves underground and accepting missions that require them to travel to the surface in search of valuable resources and loot, while avoiding machines and other Raiders, before extracting. The game launches on October 30, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
