Steam CD-key, own it forever

Steam Account, try it cheaper

That timing matters because a free weekend changes the normal deal logic. The cheapest move may be to spend nothing first, test the campaign, servers, endgame feel and class rhythm, then decide whether Steam is still the cleanest route.

AllKeyShop data adds a second layer. The local comparison page already tracks the classic CD-key route and a cheaper Steam Account route for Path of Exile 2, but those are different buying formats. The free weekend gives you a safer way to judge whether either one is worth chasing.

What Path of Exile 2 Is Actually Offering This Weekend

The announcement is specific: Path of Exile 2 is not going permanently free-to-play this week. It is opening a limited Free Weekend from 29 May to 1 June, tied to a 50% discount on the Early Access Supporter Pack.

That makes the event more useful than a simple sale. If you have been waiting because Early Access still felt risky, you can test the game before paying, then compare the live Steam, CD-key and Steam Account options instead of buying on impulse.

The Price Trap Is Buying Before You Need To

Steam currently shows Path of Exile 2 at 27,75€, while AllKeyShop data lists a CD-key offer at 23,68€ and a Steam Account offer at 11,50€. Those prices look simple, but the buying formats are not the same. Use the Path of Exile 2 price page where they can see all offers live.

A classic CD-key usually activates on your own Steam profile, while a Steam Account offer normally means using a separate account. If you want the cleanest ownership route, start with the free weekend, then check the live offers on the Path of Exile 2 price comparison page.

Early Access Still Makes This a Judgment Call

Path of Exile 2 has already been in Early Access long enough for players to have strong opinions about progression, balance and endgame direction. That matters because a discount does not automatically make an evolving ARPG feel ready for every player.

This article also follows our earlier look at how Path of Exile 2 rebuilt its endgame while keeping an Early Access price problem. The free weekend does not replace that issue, but it gives players a practical way to test the latest state before paying.

The Smart Move Is Free First, Then Compare

If you already know you want Path of Exile 2 in your Steam library, the discounted Supporter Pack may be enough. If you are unsure, the better order is obvious: play during the free weekend, decide if the current build fits you, then compare prices after the event starts.

For most PC players, the honest advice is not to rush the first visible discount. Check Steam, check the CD-key route, understand what a Steam Account means through our Steam Account explainer, and only buy once the free weekend has answered the gameplay question. The price page is where the real decision happens, and it is already worth checking.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
