Echo Generation 2 Launches Day One on Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass members have a brand-new day-one release to look forward to today. Echo Generation 2 officially launches on May 27, 2026 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM GMT.
Since this is a day-one addition, Echo Generation 2 is only available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Players who are not subscribed though can still check out the demo currently available on both Xbox and Steam.
Today’s Game Pass update also includes The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition joining the catalog, and unlike Echo Generation 2, this will also be available for Premium tier members.
After today, only two more confirmed day-one launches remain for the month with Crashout Crew and Kabuto Park. Unless of course Microsoft adds a surprise title. Fingers crossed!
Set before the events of the first game, Echo Generation 2 follows Jack as what starts as a family vacation slowly turns into something far stranger involving hidden experiments, alternate realities, and a growing conspiracy. The game combines turn-based combat with deckbuilding systems, letting players form teams from six playable characters that each come with their own abilities, playstyles, and upgrade paths.
Battles revolve around a stance-breaking system that rewards timing and strategy, while the story shifts between multiple perspectives and settings ranging from noir-inspired horror to neon cyberpunk environments. The voxel-style visuals and synth-driven soundtrack also return, keeping the retro sci-fi feel the series is known for.
