As the latest catalog additions begin to settle into our libraries, it is time to look at the other side of the coin. Playstation Plus’ Last Chance to Play section has now been updated in Japan, revealing 8 games are on their way out next month. It’s a good list too so if you have them in your backlog, maybe it’s time to go back in there and finish it before you need to buy a copy in order to do so.
Games Leaving PlayStation Plus May 2026
The PS Plus Extra and Premium titles for this month have started to roll out which means we’re about to get the list of games leaving for next month. Right on schedule, the Japan and Asian PlayStation Stores have already updated their “Last Chance to Play” section, showing eight games currently slated to leave the service in May.
Regional variations do happen from time to time, so a title or two could differ depending on where you are but this early list usually lines up closely with the final global update.
Among the games scheduled for removal are Sand Land and Soul Hackers 2, both of which had already been predicted by many players who keep track of typical service cycles.
It’s actually a pretty strong set of games overall. Losing several solid titles at once isn’t the easiest pill to swallow especially when they’re the kind you’d normally expect to stick around a bit longer. And let’s face it, PS Plus isn’t cheap either.
