Helldivers 2: Into the Unjust Update Out Now, Includes New Hive Worlds, Missions, and Enemies

Hellidvers 2 Patch 01.0004.000, otherwise known as the Into the Unjust update, is now live across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. New content includes Hive worlds, missions, and enemies as Helldivers begin to push back against the Terminids.

Into the Injust update is the fourth major update for Helldivers 2 and the first since the game launched for Xbox Series X|S. With the latest patch, Helldivers will enter the giant cave systems housing the Terminids to destroy the Spore Lung and stop the spread of The Gloom.

This update is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It features new content as well as various balancing changes and bug fixes.

What’s In the Into the Unjust Update

The patch is introduced on its Steam community post as such: “For too long, we’ve waited and watched as The Gloom expands to swallow more innocent star systems. For too long, we’ve let the Terminids wreak havoc on our colonies, our cities, our homes. The Terminids have pushed into our territory for long enough.”

And that sets up the new features, which will see Helldivers enter randomly generated cave systems for a new challenge, as they descend into their depths to find a way to stop The Gloom from consuming everything. It won’t be easy, though, as new enemies include Rupture Spewers, Rupture Warriors, and the Dragonroach.

The Hellidivers 2 Into the Unjust update is all about the Hive Worlds, and Helldivers will have plenty of new missions to satisfy their thirst for freedom. As well as the caves, Helldivers will siphon the “mysterious” oily substance from the surface with the Gater Mobile oil rig, extract other resources, and destroy all threats they encounter.

Patch Notes

There are dozens of balance changes and fixes that you can read about on the Steam post. These include changes to stagger strength to throwables, stratagems, and boosters. Additionally, there are a few fixes for crashes and a couple of patches for audio glitches.

  • Randomly-generated giant cave systems

  • Delve deep into the caves to destroy the Spore Lung and stop its infectious Gloom spread
  • Take control of the GATER mobile oil rig and siphon the mysterious oily substance from the surface of Hive Worlds
  • Undertake more missions to extract resources and destroy the enemy threat on Hive Worlds
  • Have Super Earth approved levels of fun!

• New Enemies

  • Rupture Spewer: The foul Rupture Spewer bursts from the ground only to spew its undemocratic pestilence on the innocent. Upon returning to its dark warrens, it is believed to consume its own dead in order to generate more of its corrosive acid.
  • Rupture Warrior: A product of Gloom-induced mutation, the Rupture Warrior has lost the UV-insulating chitin layer that would protect its internal organs from solar radiation damage. Captured specimens prefer burrowing to open-air movement, a pattern indicative of subconscious shame at their own undemocratic ways.
  • Rupture Charger: When this armored beast senses the presence of Liberty, it buries itself underground to escape its light. Its Charger instincts compel it to tunnel through the ground at high speeds, emerging only to attack those who represent the Liberty that blinds it so.
  • Dragonroach: This oversized affront to Free skies everywhere circles its would-be prey, swooping down intermittently to bespew them with air-combustible acid. A spineless tactic befitting an exoskeletal monstrosity.
