Hollow Night Silksong Multiplayer Is Finally Here Thanks to Modders

Hollow Knight Silksong was everything we imagined it to be and more. Yep, that includes how difficult it is. Some say that’s an overstatement but it’s probably because of the overhype because, well, it is difficult. But what if you can get one of your buddies to help, enjoy the same game together? Thanks to modders, we can now.

Game Studios Shift Schedules to Avoid Silksong’s Release

Silksong modders were at work immediately after the game launch that numerous mods were already available even a couple of days after the release. And because the game was designed for a single-player experience, it wasn’t going to be long before a multiplayer mod was out. And it is. And there’s two of them.

First is the Silksong Steam multiplayer mod from 233xvx233 which will require the original Steam version of the game, and the other, SilklessCoop by Nek5 which has 2 modes: Steam PvP which requires the Steam version, and Standalone, where one player is required to set up a server. Both installation processes are straightforward which you checkout in their respective Nexus Mods pages.

Regardless of which one you choose, both will allow you and one other friend to enjoy the same version of the game. There are of course limitations to this still and some bugs may be experienced but those will be updated in future patches and there’s also a workaround that was published in either of the pages.
